Lucille's Roadhouse is inspired by the original Lucille's on Route 66 in nearby Hydro, Okla., which was operated by her mother Lucille Hamons for decades until her death in 2000. The new Lucille's Roadhouse is the brainchild of Rick Koch, a Route 66 enthusiast, owner of the Holiday Inn, and a prominent Oklahoma oil man.<br />
Mr. Koch, in addition to building the new Lucille's Roadhouse, also purchased the original Lucille's and fixed up the once deteriorating property thus giving it a long term historic face lift for future travelers.
