The abandoned theater located on Fort Chaffee near Fort Smith Arkansas. Construction of Fort Chaffee started in September of 1941 during World War II in addition to providing a training facility for US soldiers Fort Chaffee served as a POW camp housing 3000 German prisoners of war. In September of 1977 Fort Chaffee was officially closed and command was transferred to the US Army Arkansas National Guard with portions of the land being turned over to the Fort Chaffee Redevelopment Authority.
